Whether following a positive selection or an untouched strategy, parallel separation is fast and provides reproducible results because all samples are treated identically. Different column options enable you to adapt to sample size, type, and separation strategy. The Multi-24 Column Block supports both positive selection and depletion. It enables high-throughput and large-volume applications by combining 24 columns in one unit. It saves time and makes handling of high sample numbers or volumes more convenient.
The LHS Single-Column Adapter is designed for use with single MACS Columns and allows you to handle up to 12 samples in one go. It is compatible with LS, LD, or Whole Blood Columns. LS Columns are optimized for positive selection and can also be used for depletion strategies. LD Columns are optimized for depletion and Whole Blood Columns for cell isolation directly from whole blood, bone marrow, and buffy coat. The Single-Column Adapter helps you save column costs when you want to process only a small number of samples in a run.

Base applications are available for key cell isolation workflows. They are installed as default applications on the instrument and are ready to use.
These applications include the direct isolation of selected target cells from main blood sources (Leukopak®, Whole Blood, and Buffy Coat) with the StraightFrom® MicroBead portfolio, untouched isolation from PBMCs with MACS Isolation Kits, human, and positive selections from PBMCs with MACS MicroBeads.
The most common immune cell types (e.g. T cells, B cells, monocytes, and NK cells) are included in these base applications.
Customized processes for automated high-throughput cell separation on the MultiMACS X are developed and validated to match your needs perfectly and to ensure any cell separation specification can be fulfilled.
