Specifications for IL-2 Secretion Assay – Detection Kits, human

Overview

The IL-2 Secretion Assay was developed for the sensitive detection of human IL-2-secreting cells.

Detailed product information

Background information

Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a T cell-derived cytokine that promotes growth and differentiation of T cells and has pleiotropic effects on many other leukocytes. Upon activation, naive T helper cells and certain subsets of memory T cells rapidly secrete IL-2.

Downstream applications

The IL-2 Secretion Assay was developed for detection of IL-2-secreting T cells after antigen-specific stimulation. IL-2 Secretion Assay has been used to analyze IL-2-secreting CMV-specific CD4
+
T cells after stimulation with CMV lysate.
The IL-2 Secretion Assay - Detection Kit (APC) can also be used for analysis of cytokine coexpression and allows counterstaining of peptide-MHC tetramer-labeled cells conjugated to PE.
