The TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 5 and TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 1 adsorbers are intended for the specific removal of human lambda and kappa chains containing immunoglobulins IgG (subclasses IgG1-IgG4), IgA, IgM, IgE, and immune complexes as well as free lambda and kappa light chains from human plasma in extracorporeal immunoadsorption procedures.
The TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 5 adsorber can be used for 5 treatments whereas the TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 1 is a single use adsorber. Between the treatments, the TheraSorb

Applications

The TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 1 and TheraSorb
®
– Ig omni 5 adsorber are intended to be used for immunoadsorption treatment of diseases where pathogenic immunoglobulins, lambda or kappa light chains and immune complexes contribute to the onset of a disease or its progression, for instance in, but not limited to:
  • Autoimmune disorders caused by autoantibodies
  • Disorders caused by pathologically elevated Ig antibodies or free lambda or kappa light chains
    • Rejection of allogeneic organ transplants caused by preformed or newly synthesized cytotoxic antibodies.

Disclaimer

Sets are neither procedure packs nor convenience kits and are not CE-marked. Here, the term “set” simply denotes a single order number which, when used, will automatically generate a picking and shipping list of separately packed CE-marked devices for delivery to the customer. Sets are not contained in a common transport container and are not labeled as such.
Kits are not CE-marked medical devices, but are a sales unit containing a pair of individually packed adsorbers and their accessories (e.g. patient chip card, adsorber holder).
