PBMCs from a CMV

Specifications for IL-10 Secretion Assay – Detection Kits, human

Overview

The IL-10 Secretion Assay was developed for the sensitive detection of human IL-10-secreting cells.

Detailed product information

Background information

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is predominantly secreted by human CD4
+
T cells and antigen-presenting cells, such as monocytes/macrophages and dendritic cells. IL-10 has important suppressive functions on immune responses and is believed to be involved in the maintenance of tolerance. IL-10 blocks activation of cytokine synthesis by T
H
1 cells, activated monocytes, and NK cells. It can stimulate the immunoglobulin production by B cells.

Downstream applications

IL-10 Secretion Assay was used to analyze IL-10-secreting, CMV-specific CD4
+
T cells after stimulation with CMV lysate.
The IL-10 Secretion Assay was also used to analyze and isolate IL-10 secretion by allergen-specific T cells.
