Overview

Clone REAL228 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD1a antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL228 recognizes the human CD1a antigen, a 40 kDa type I membrane glycoprotein also known as T6 or Leu-6 which is a member of the immunglobulin superfamily. It shares functional and structural similarities with MHC I class molecules and is associated with β2-microglobulin. CD1a plays a role in antigen presentation by binding lipid and glycolipid antigens and presenting them to T cell receptors on natural killer T cells. CD1a is expressed on Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, and cortical thymocytes.
The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes.
