Specifications for CD31 MicroBead Kit, human

Overview

The CD31 MicroBead Kit has been developed for the isolation of CD31
+
endothelial cells from single-cell suspensions.

Detailed product information

Background information

CD31 is a glycoprotein, also known as platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1). It is expressed on mature endothelial cells, platelets, and on some white blood cells such as monocytes, NK cells, granulocytes, B cells, and T cell subsets.

Applications

The CD31 MicroBead Kit can be used for the isolation of human dermal vascular endothelial cells (HDMECs) from dermal tissues, for example foreskin, and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) from umbilical cord vein.
The CD31 MicroBead Kit has also been used for:
  • the isolation of endothelial cells from colorectal cancer and healthy colon tissue1,
  • the enrichment of lymphangioma-derived lymphatic endothelial cells from fibroblast-contaminated cultures2,
  • the isolation of human microvascular endothelial cells from dermal or renal tissue3.
