Clone REA429 recognizes the human CD323 antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein, which is also known as junctional adhesion molecule 3 (JAM3) or JAM-C. CD323 is a member of the junctional adhesion molecule family and plays a role in leukocyte migration and cell-cell adhesion. CD323 expression is found on endothelial cells and human platelets. It is expressed at desmosomes but not at tight junctions. CD323 is also expressed at low levels on T cells and is upregulated upon activation.
Additional information: Clone REA429 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
