Clone REA884 recognizes the mouse V beta 6 T cell receptor (TCR Vβ6). The T cell receptor is responsible for recognizing antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules and plays an important role in T cell mediated immune responses. It is a disulfide-linked membrane-anchored heterodimeric glycoprotein normally consisting of the highly variable α and β chains expressed as part of a complex with the invariant CD3 chain molecules. The α and β TCR chains are composed of constant and variable regions, each encoded by distinct gene segments. REA884 recognizes TCR Vβ6 on mouse strains with the a (e.g., C57BR and SJL) and b haplotypes (e.g., BALB/c, C3H, and DBA/1).
Additional information: Clone REA884 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
