Next Generation Sequencing

Your Tasks

As a member of the Miltenyi Biotec Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) team, you will be responsible for preparing sequencing chemistry reagents for the NGS team and help with instrument set up and runs. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with the leads of the amplification, nucleotide and chemistry teams, preparing sequencing chemistry reagents for experiments in the Waltham lab, organize reagent shipments to internal teams, and set-up and run sequencing instruments. As a result of your close collaboration and expertise in preparing sequencing chemistry agents, you will support the continued success of Miltenyi Biotec as a whole.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 1 year of relevant industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in next generation sequencing (NGS) technology.
  • Experience in library preparation, amplification technologies and NGS.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as masks, glasses and gloves when entering the manufacturing and/or laboratory environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
