What is the difference between LS Columns and LD Columns?

LS Columns are used for positive selection. If the magnetic labeling is strong enough, LS Columns can also be used for depletion. In such cases, LS Columns would be the preferred method, since they provide faster separations.

LD Columns are recommended for depletion. The unique specifications of LD Columns with respect to their specific shape and matrix result in a slower flow rate than LS Columns. This provides highly efficient retention of weakly labeled cells.
