How can I remove fat residues from the autoMACS Pro Separator?

Optimally, samples used on the autoMACS Pro Separator do not contain much fat.

Fat can be removed from a bone marrow preparation, for example, by using a short centrifugation step (200×g for 10 min). The fat will remain in the supernatant, so it can be easily removed from the preparation. Filtering the sample prior to separation to remove fat clumps also helps minimize the amount in the final preparation.

Minor fat deposits can be removed from the fluidic system using the standard MACS Washing Solution. For removal of fat deposits, use the safe procedure.
