Mouse CD3ε, which is involved in the transduction of activation signals, is expressed on thymocytes, mature T lymphocytes, and NKT cells. CD3ε is a 25 kDa transmembrane protein and a subunit of the CD3 complex. Along with the γ and δ subunits of CD3, the ε chain is required for proper assembly and expression of the T cell receptor complex. The 145-2C11 antibody, which recognizes specifically CD3ε, can activate T cell function.


The CD3ε functional grade antibodies are suited for functional assays, for example,
in vitro
activation and expansion of T cells in combination with CD2 and CD28 pure – functional grade antibodies, or CD2- and CD28-Biotin functional grade antibodies, and Anti-Biotin MACSiBead™ Particles, cell culture grade. The CD3ε pure – functional grade antibodies, mouse, can be used for
in vivo
T cell depletion.
