Clone REA594 recognizes the mouse CD371 (CLEC12A) antigen, a 30 kDa type II transmembrane protein with extracellular C-type lectin domains. CD371 (CLEC12A) is a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin–like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily which have a common protein fold and plays a role in cell adhesion, cell-cell signaling, glycoprotein turnover, inflammation, and immune response.CD371 expression is primarily found on granulocytes and monocytes but also on CD8
+
dendritic cells (DCs), plasmacytoid DCs, granulocytes, and B cells. It associates with the signaling phosphatases SHP-1 and SHP-2, but not with SHIP and is a negative regulator of granulocyte and monocyte function.
Additional information: Clone REA594 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
