Clone REA242 recognizes CD212, which is also known as interleukin 12 (IL-12) receptor β1 subunit. CD212 is a single-pass type I membrane protein and belongs to the type 2 subfamily of cytokines receptors. It forms a heterodimeric complex with IL-12β2 to form IL-12 receptor and with IL-23R to form IL-23 receptor. IL-12 and IL-23 are heterodimeric cytokines produced mainly by antigen-presenting cells (APCs), such as macrophages, dendritic cells, B cells, and activated T and NK cells.
Additional information: Clone REA242 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
