Anti-IFN-α antibodies, human

Anti-IFN-α antibodies, human

Clone: REA1013 | Dilution: 1:50
Clone REA1013 recognizes the human interferon alpha (IFN-α). Type I interferons (IFNs), including IFN-α, are a family of cytokines that exert pleiotropic functions in the immune system. Besides its potent antiviral activity, IFN-α exerts a variety of immunomodulatory effects, including positive and negative regulation of its own production, regulation of interleukin 12 (IL-12) and IFN-γ production, promotion of natural killer (NK) cell cytotoxicity, activation and maturation of dendritic cells, and the promotion of B cell development towards plasma cells. IFN-α is expressed predominantly by CD123
CD303 (BDCA2)
plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs).
Additional information: Clone REA1013 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
