Anti-ERK2 antibodies, human and mouse

Anti-ERK2 antibodies, human and mouse

Clone: REA186 | Dilution: 1:11
Clone REA186 recognizes ERK2, a 42 KDa serine/threonine protein kinase, which participates in the MAPK signal transduction pathway. It is involved in regulation of a large variety of processes including cell adhesion, cell cycle progression, cell migration, cell survival, differentiation, metabolism, proliferation, and transcription. ERK2 and the related kinase ERK1 are phosphorylated by kinases MEK1/2, leading to activation and nuclear translocation of ERKs, where they phosphorylate downstream targets, such as transcription factors including Ets, Elk, and c-Fos. ERK2 activation and mobilization is induced in reponse to several extracellular signals and engagement of receptors such as Tyr kinases (RTKs), G protein–coupled receptors (GPCRs), ion channels, and others. The ERK1/2 are dual specificity kinases and phosphorylate Ser or Thr residues neighbor to proline residue.
Additional Information: Clone REA186 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
