Our laboratory investigates different ways to improve immune responses against HIV. We investigate the effect of different cell population on the inhibition of HIV infection. We use this kit to purify (or deplete) different cell populations based on their surface marker. We like this kit for some less common markers because we do not need to buy expensive beads specific for each marker but can use the same beads for many different markers (mouse or human).
Our lab performs many types of cell purifications from human and mouse cells for in vitro stimulation assays. Some purifications, such as depletion of all lineage committed cells, require an initial incubation with biotin-conjugated antibodies against many different cell markers. We use these beads as a second step for incubation and then separation of unlabelled cells.
