Clone 9E2 recognizes the CD335 (NKp46) antigen, a 46 kDa type I membrane glycoprotein, which is found exclusively on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells. CD335 (NKp46) is a member of the natural cytotoxicity receptors (NCRs) that also include CD336 (NKp44) and CD337 (NKp30), which are responsible for NK cell activation in the process of natural cytotoxicity.
This antibody has been shown to stimulate NK cells. Activity was determined by measurement of interferon γ (IFN-γ) secretion of human NK cells. Furthermore, the CD335 antibody, clone 9E2, was reported to mediate redirected NK cell cytotoxicity.


The CD335 (NKp46) functional grade antibodies are suited for functional assays, for example,
in vitro
NK cell activation and mediation of redirected NK cell cytotoxicity.
