Anti-ErbB-2 MicroBeads, human

Anti-ErbB-2 MicroBeads can be used for the enrichment of disseminated epithelial ErbB-2-expressing tumor cells from blood, bone marrow, or leukapheresis harvest.

Background information

ErbB-2, also known as HER2/neu, CD340 or p185, encodes the human epidermal growth factor receptor which is overexpressed in 25–30% of breast cancer patients as well as in various other tumors, e.g. ovarian, prostate, lung, colorectal, pancreatic, and gastric cancers.

Downstream applications

Enriched ErbB-2
cells can be characterized by using different techniques such as quantitative real-time PCR
, immunocytochemistry, or flow cytometry. The enriched cells can also be cultured.
