Overview

Clone REA935 recognizes the human Cytokeratin 7, which belongs to the type II cytokeratin family. Cytokeratins, which are found in almost all epithelial cells, are polypeptides with keratin-containing intermediate filaments, which ensure form stability and cohesiveness. Cytokeratin 7 is located in simple glandular epithelia, and in transitional epithelium but not in colon and prostate, ectocervix, and liver.Cytokeratin 7 is a useful marker for distinguishing ovarian carcinomas, containing Cytokeratin 7, from colon carcinomas.
Additional Information: Clone REA935 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
