Specifications for COX-4 Antibody, anti-human, REAdye_lease™

Overview

Clone REAL694 is an antibody fragment derived from the full COX-4 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL694 recognizes the human COX-4 protein, one of the nuclear-coded polypeptide chains of cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal oxidase in mitochondrial electron transport. COX-4 can be used to identify the inner membrane of mitochondria in immunfluorescence studies. Mutations in the gene have been associated with COX deficiency and Fanconi anemia.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
