Specifications for CFTR Antibody, anti-human, REAdye_lease™

Overview

Clone REAL1314 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CFTR antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL1314 recognizes the CFTR (Cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) protein, a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily. CFTR is an epithelial ion channel, coupled to ATP hydrolysis, that plays an important role in the regulation of epithelial ion and water transport and fluid homeostasis. It mediates the transport of chloride ions across the cell membrane and modulats the activity of other ion channels and transporters. Mutations in this gene cause cystic fibrosis (CF), the most common lethal genetic disorder. CFTR mutations have also been linked to increased risk of various cancers.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
