CD31 MicroBeads, mouse

CD31 MicroBeads, mouse

The CD31 MicroBeads, mouse, have been developed for the positive selection or depletion of CD31
endothelial cells from single-cell suspensions of mouse tissues.

Background information

The CD31 antibody reacts with the cell surface protein CD31. The murine CD31 antigen is also known as PECAM-1. CD31 is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing six Ig-like C2-type domains and functions as cell adhesion molecule
. It is present on mature endothelial cells as well as on most leukocyte subtypes and platelets
where the expression level can vary. Besides its function in cell adhesion, the protein is required for leukocyte transendothelial migration (TEM) under most inflammatory conditions

Downstream applications

Mouse endothelial cells isolated with CD31 MicroBeads are immediately ready to be used for phenotype analysis, coculture experiments, or functional studies, for example, in tumor vascularization research.
