Background information

The CD45 antigen is expressed on all cells of hematopoietic origin except erythrocytes, platelets, and their precursor cells.

Applications

CD45 MicroBeads have been used to enrich fetal erythroblasts from maternal blood. They were also used to enrich epithelial tumor cells from peripheral blood, bone marrow, or lymphoid tissue by depletion of CD45

leukocytes

. Stem cells from human bone marrow have been enriched by depletion of cells labeled with CD235a (Glycophorin A) MicroBeads and CD45 MicroBeads.

Furthermore, CD45 MicroBeads have been used in xenogeneic engraftment studies for the isolation of CD45
