Overview

Clone REA363 recognizes the human CD140b antigen, a single-pass type I membrane protein, also known as platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFR-β). CD140b is broadly expressed in embryonic tissue and in cells of mesodermal origin in adult tissue as fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, glial cells, and chondrocytes. It is a tyrosine-protein kinase that acts as a cell-surface receptor for homodimeric PDGFB and PDGFD and for heterodimers formed by PDGFA and PDGFB, and plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, survival, differentiation, chemotaxis, and migration.
Additional information: Clone REA363 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
