Overview

Clone REAL686 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Caveolin-1 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL686 recognizes the Caveolin-1 protein, a main component of the caveolae plasma membranes found in most cell types. It links integrin subunits to the tyrosine kinase FYN and promots cell cycle progression. The coding CAV1 is a tumor suppressor gene candidate and a negative regulator of the Ras-p42/44 MAP kinase cascade. Caveolin 1 has been shown to interact with a range of molecules via caveolin-binding motifs (CBM) through a caveolin-scaffolding domain (CSD) within caveolin-1 molecule. High Caveolin-1 levels were correlated with tumor progression, invasion and metastasis.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
