TheraSorb® – Rheo Adsorbers

– Rheo Adsorbers

During a Rheo apheresis treatment two single-use adsorbers selectively remove fibrinogen, fibrin, and fibrin degradation products. A comparable quantity of C-reactive protein is also depleted from the patient´s blood. The plasma volumes processed during a Rheo apheresis treatment can be adjusted to the patient’s individual fibrinogen target level.
The complete treatment sets contain all single-use system components that are necessary for one treatment on a LIFE 18™ or LIFE 21
apheresis unit. This includes two adsorbers, the tubing set, disk separator and solutions that are used for anti-coagulation, priming, buffering and elution of the apheresis system.

Sets are neither procedure packs nor convenience kits and are not CE-marked. Here, the term “set” simply denotes a single order number which, when used, will automatically generate a picking and shipping list of separately packed CE-marked devices for delivery to the customer. Sets are not contained in a common transport container and are not labeled as such.
