Recent advances in immuno-oncology research have proven the critical role of immune cells in cancer therapy. A deep understanding of the interactions and phenotypes of immune cells and tumor cells within the tumor microenvironment is key to developing future immune-based cancer therapy strategies.
However, the most significant challenge when working with solid tumors is the efficient dissociation of the tissue prior to downstream applications, such as immunomagnetic enrichment, flow cytometry, and single-cell sequencing. Furthermore, low frequencies of infiltrating immune cells and background signals due to sticky or over-abundant tumor cells can strongly bias the phenotypic analysis of different cellular subpopulations.
Watch our expert webinars to find out more about the tools we offer for successful cell isolation from the tumor microenvironment and subsequent flow cytometry analysis.
