GMP CD38 Fluorescent Antibodies

Overview

MACS
®
GMP CD38 Fluorescent Antibodies consist of a mouse monoclonal antibody against the human CD38 antigen conjugated to a fluorochrome. They are developed for flow cytometric identification and flow cytometric sorting of CD38-positive cells.

Alternative names

ADP-ribosyl cyclase, ADP-ribosyl cyclase/cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1

Detailed product information

Background information

Clone IB6 recognizes the human CD38 antigen, a cell surface protein that exhibits receptor and enzymatic functions. This protein is highly expressed on plasma cells and expressed at lower levels on various hematopoietic and solid tissues. In the immune system CD38 plays a role in adhesion and transmigration through the endothelial layer. In addition, it can trigger the activation and proliferation of leukocytes. CD38 has cyclase as well as hydrolase activity.

Applications

MACS
®
GMP CD38 Fluorescent Antibodies are for identification of CD38-positive cells by flow cytometry as well as cell enrichment by flow cytometric sorting.
