Description:

HT-29 cells were stained with Anti-Integrin β6 antibodies or with the corresponding REA Control (S) antibodies (left peak). Flow cytometry was performed using the MACSQuant^® Analyzer. Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and propidium iodide fluorescence.

Overview

Clone REA748 recognizes the human integrin β6 antigen, a 95 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein which is a member of the integrin β family. Integrins are heterodimeric glycoprotein receptors and exist as non-covalently bound α and β subunits. Integrin β6, also known as ITGB6, is a receptor for fibronectin and cytotactin and interacts with coxsackievirus A9 and coxsackievirus B1 proteins. Integrin β6 forms heterodimers with integrin αV. Internalisation of integrin αV/β6 via clathrin-mediated endocytosis promotes carcinoma cell invasion.

Additional information: Clone REA748 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
