Submit your abstract and win our Astrocyte Travel Award

Since they were discovered by Ramón y Cajal in 1913, astrocytes were long neglected as active participants in the central nervous system (CNS). Thanks to the technological progress of the last 30 years, the critical roles of astrocytes in both, physiological and pathological processes in the CNS have been revealed.

This year, we dedicate our travel award to researchers around the world for their contributions to the exciting astrocyte research field. Submit your abstract and get the chance to be awarded with our Astrocyte Travel Award or get invited to a live webinar or presentation at a neuroscience meeting in 2019.

  • Eligibility
The travel award is open to all scientists and clinicians who work with and contribute to the astrocyte research field.
  • Deadlines and submission instructions
All applicants must submit their abstracts to a neuroscience conference in 2019 and must be accepted for a poster or an oral presentation. The accepted abstract must be submitted through our website before September 30, 2019.
  • Judging and award
Applications will be reviewed by at least two peer reviewers and results will be announced via e-mail before October 31, 2019. One selected winner will be awarded with travel, accommodation, and registration fees for one neuroscience conference in 2019 (up to 1,000 Euros).

Winner of the Adult Brain Travel Award 2018

The Adult Brain Travel Award has enabled me to attend the Neurobiology of Brain Disorders Gordon Research Conference in Barcelona. I attended various talks and networked with amazing scientists. I presented my research and received valuable feedback. Winning this award has really encouraged me to further continue my research endeavors. Thank you again Miltenyi Biotec for this honor!
