Overview

Clone REA930 recognizes the human, mouse and rat Myogenin, a muscle-specific transcription factor belonging to the basic-helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family. Myogenin mediates the transcription of muscle-specific genes and plays an essential role in muscle differentiation, especially for the development of functional embryonic skeletal fiber muscle differentiation. Additionally, Myogenin is involved in cell cycle exit and muscle atrophy.
Additional Information: Clone REA930 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
