The two processes of fluorescence signal erasure

REAfinity™ Recombinant Antibodies/MACS antibodies 

The mechanism of signal erasure for fluorochrome-conjugated REAfinity™ Recombinant Antibodies and MACS Antibodies is photobleaching. To erase the fluorochrome signal from your sample, the MACSima™ Imaging System will move your sample to the bleaching unit to perform the erasing process in a completely automated fashion after each imaging cycle.

REAlease® Releasable Antibodies 

For REAlease® Releasable Antibodies the fluorescence signal is erased by a controlled release of the fluorochrome-conjugated antibody fragment. For the controlled antibody release, the MACSima™ Imaging System simply adds the REAlease Release Reagent to your sample after each imaging cycle and restarts the staining process in an automatic manner.
