Extended validation for TM4SF1 Antibody, anti-human, REAfinity™

Specificity

Knockout validation
To ensure antibody specificity, the target gene is knocked out in a suitable cell line using the CRISPR/Cas9 system and the knockout is confirmed by sequencing of the target locus. The antibody is considered to bind specifically to the intended epitope if no antibody binding to the knockout cells can be detected. The antibody staining is controlled by fluorescence microscopy and/or flow cytometry.

Specifications for TM4SF1 Antibody, anti-human, REAfinity™

Overview

Clone REA851 recognizes the human TM4SF1 antigen, also known as transmembrane 4 L6 family member 1. TM4SF1 is a member of the tetraspanin family, which members are involved in signal transduction events, important for the regulation of cell development, activation, growth, and motility. It is reported, that TM4SF1 suppresses the expression of CD63 and CD82, two molecules that inhibit cell mobility. TM4SF1 is highly expressed in lung, breast, colon, and ovarian carcinomas. It is also found on some endothelial cells.
Additional information: Clone REA851 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
