Overview

Clone REA1325 recognizes human p16INK4a (CDKN2A). CDKN2A, also known as cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A, codes for two proteins, p16INK4a (p16) and p14arf. It is ubiquitously expressed in many tissues and cell types and functions as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting CDK4 and CDK6. Mutations in the CDKN2A gene are responsible for different human cancers, including melanoma and pancreatic cancers.
Additional information: Clone REA1325 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
