Specifications for Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor Antibody, anti-human/mouse, REAdye_lease™

Overview

Clone REAL799 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL799 recognizes the Nicotinic Acetylcholine Receptor (nAChR), a transmembrane allosteric protein that responds to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and mediates synaptic transmission of chemoelectric signals by opening an intrinsic ionic channel. The membrane-based ionotropic receptor is mainly located in nerve cells and muscle fibers, in the postsynaptic membrane, but also in spleen, lymph nodes and lymphocytes. The Nicotinic acetylcholine receptor plays a crucial role in neuronal communication and in several neurological pathologies.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
