Specifications for Glutamine Synthetase Antibody, anti-human/mouse, REAdye_lease™

Overview

Clone REAL955 is an antibody fragment derived from the full Glutamine Synthetase antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAdye_lease Complex to bind markers with high avidity.
Clone REAL955 recognizes Glutamine Synthetase (GLUL) that catalyse the ATP-dependent conversion of glutamate and ammonia to glutamine. The main function of Glutamine Synthetase depends on tissue localization and plays an important role in the metabolic regulation of glutamate, endothelial cell migration during vascular development and detoxification of brain ammonia, as well as recycling of neurotransmitters. Glutamine Synthetase can cross the blood-brain barrier and is discused for use in cancer therapy.
For removal of REAdye_lease fluorochromes for optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAdye_lease antibodies use the REAlease Support Kit (130-120-675).
