The FFPE Tissue Dissociation Kit enables the gentle, rapid, and effective generation of single-cell suspensions from human formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections. The single-cell suspensions can subsequently be used for isolation of carcinoma cells, flow cytometry, or molecular analysis. This kit is compatible with the 10x Genomics Chromium Single Cell Fixed RNA Profiling Assay, to generate single cell RNA-seq data from FFPE tissues following the protocol provided at this

Detailed product information

Background information

FFPE tissue sections from various tissues and species, for example, human tumor, skin, or lymph node samples, can be dissociated into single-cell suspensions by combining mechanical dissociation with enzymatic degradation of the extracellular matrix. The FFPE tissue sections are deparaffinized in this process. After a defixation step, samples are dissociated using the kit components and a gentleMACS™ Dissociator with Heaters. Larger particles are removed subsequently using MACS
®
SmartStrainers.
This kit is specifically designed to achieve high single-cell yields while obtaining cytokeratin and vimentin epitopes relevant for carcinoma cell analysis. Single-cell suspensions are indicated for subsequent isolation of carcinoma cells, flow cytometric analysis, or molecular analysis.
This kit also allows the dissociation of FFPE tissue for single-cell sequencing using the 10x Genomics Chromium Single Cell Fixed RNA Profiling Assay. For this application you must follow the 10x Genomics demonstrated protocol is provided at this
