Cell sorting will never be the same

Meet our scientists and join the revolution

The Miltenyi Biotec Nordics team is going on tour:

Join our scientific specialists at one of our series of pop-up events to discuss the science of cell sorting and its importance for all the research that follows. Hear more about how the MACSQuant® Tyto® Cell Sorter has unlocked new possibilities in basic research and medical applications  in the Nordics.

The revolution in cell sorting has begun.

Selected applications on the  MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter

The MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter is revolutionizing cell sorting. Our patented microchip-based technology unlocks new possibilities in basic research and medical applications. Gentle, sterile, safe cell sorting pushes the boundaries of science, with recent developments into:

  • gentle sorting of neutrophils out of non-lysed whole blood for accurate analysis of neutrophil function
  • sterile sorting of a rare subset of antigen-specific T cells out of peripheral blood mononuclear cells for clinical application
  • aerosol-free sorting of B-cells from Covid-19–infected specimens in research aimed at finding a treatment

Gentle. Sterile. Safe.

Application specialists

Our application specialists look forward to sharing some insights about how the MACSQuant Tyto Cell Sorter has helped researchers in the Nordics achieve gentle, safe, and sterile cell sorting.

Olof Berggren, PhD

Olof started as an application specialist at Miltenyi Biotec in 2016 and before that obtained his PhD in autoimmunity. Olof thrives on new challenges and finding solutions for our customers. In his time at Miltenyi, he has assisted with optimizing a broad range of flow cytometry applications on our MACSQuant Range of instruments, from sorting and analyzing bacteria and algae, to immune cells, clinical stem cells, and even chromosomes.

Benjamin Claass, PhD

Benjamin recently joined Miltenyi Biotec with extensive experience in flow cytometry. His passion for the science of flow cytometry was sparked during his PhD studies, while investigating the immunological milieu in the liver, where he analysed and sorted mouse T cell populations from different tissues. Spending six years in flow cytometry product development gives him unique insights into the intricacies of optimising research outcomes, and he looks forward to sharing these with you.

We are as serious about social distancing as we are about cell sorting. Meet us outside in the fresh air, while maintaining a responsible distance. We will take every precaution to ensure that guidelines and recommendations are followed at all times.

Light refreshments will be served.
