StraightFrom® Leukopak® MicroBeads allow for the magnetic cell separation of large leukocyte numbers directly from Leukopak® (StemExpress, LCC). Leukocyte subsets such as CD4+, CD8+, CD14+, or CD19+ cells can be purified using either semi-or fully automated using MultiMACS™ Instruments. Pre-enrichment of white blood cells, e.g. by density gradient centrifugation, is not required. The purified cells are well-suited for further flow cytometric analyses, molecular biology applications, and functional studies.

During leukapheresis, white blood cells are being separated from the donor's blood and collected as highly concentrated leukocytes in Leukopaks® . Therefore, they provide the ideal source for the isolation of larges numbers of  leukocytes from PBMCs.

The MultiMACS Cell24 Separator Plus is perfectly suited for the semi-automated isolation of large cell numbers from Leukopaks® using StraightFrom Leukopak® MicroBeads.

The isolation procedure results in cell populations with high purities and recovery rates. With the Multi-24 Column Block (included in the kit), the instrument allows for time saving processing of large sample volumes, while providing reliability reproducibility in day-to-day cell separation. 

For large-scale cell separations, the MultiMACS X is the instrument of choice.


Separation of CD14+ cells using StraightFrom Leukopak® CD14 MicroBeads

CD14+ cells can be isolated straight from a Leukopak® sample using the StraightFrom Leukopak® CD14 MicroBead Kit, human and the MultiMACS™ Cell24 Separator Plus.

Separation of a Leukopak® sample using the StraightFrom Leukopak® CD14 MicroBead Kit and the MultiMACS™ Cell24 Separator Plus with the Multi-24 Column Block. Cells were fluorescently stained with CD14-APC, CD15-PE-Vio® 770, as well as CD45-VioBlue® and analyzed by flow cytometry using the MACSQuant® Analyzer. Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and propidium iodide fluorescence.
