Human IL-31 is a recombinant protein optimized for use in cell culture, differentiation studies, and functional assays.


Human IL-31 can be used for a variety of applications, including:

Background information

Human IL-31 plays a role in inflammation of the skin. It is preferentially produced by type 2 helper T cells. IL-31 signals via a receptor complex that is composed of IL-31 receptor A (IL31RA) and oncostatin M receptor subunits. These receptor subunits are expressed in activated monocytes and in unstimulated epithelial cells. Signaling also involves the JAK/STAT pathway, the PI3 kinase/AKT cascade, and the MAP kinase pathway.

Quality description

cytokines are suitable for a wide variety of cell culture applications. They are sterile-filtered prior to lyophilization. Generally, endotoxin levels are <0.1 ng/μg (<1 EU/μg), and purities are >95%. The biological activity is tested in appropriate bioassays.
