July 5–9, 2021
Once more, we are excited to take part in the virtual European Glial Meeting 2021. Join our workshop and learn how light sheet imaging enables you to obtain an unbiased view at large samples such as cleared brains or brain organoids, from neural networks down to subcellular details.
Moreover, we are there for you at our virtual booth! Drop by to chat with us about the latest research, see more of our inspiring technologies, or take part in our survey – which you can access already below without registration to the event – and get the chance to win one Bose® SoundLink Mini Bluetooth® Speaker II.
Light sheet microscopy in combination with tissue clearing enables 3D visualization of intact rodent brains and even an entire mouse body at cellular and subcellular level. In this workshop, we will introduce you to large-scale 3D fluorescence imaging with the brand-new UltraMicroscope Blaze – the first fully automated light sheet microscope for large or multiple samples. With cutting-edge light sheet optics, the microscope operates as a virtual microtome which performs section-free high-resolution 3D imaging. You will learn how light sheet imaging enables you to obtain an unbiased view at large samples such as cleared brains or brain organoids, from neural networks down to subcellular details, at an accelerated pace.
Microscopy Product Manager, Miltenyi Biotec
Hussein Hamzeh is Microscopy Product Manager at Miltenyi Biotec since 2019. Prior to this, he worked as postdoctoral scientist at the Max Planck Institute in Germany and MBL in Woods Hole, USA, after completing his Ph.D. at the former. Furthermore, he held a position as research engineer in the development of multiphoton endoscopy at CNRS in France, after obtaining his M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Lebanese University, Beirut.
Global Product Manager Neuroscience, Miltenyi Biotec
Elisa Nent is Global Product Manager for neuroscience at Miltenyi Biotec since 2020. Before this, she worked as postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany, where she studied the interaction of microglia. She originally comes from the Bonn-Cologne area in Germany, where she also completed her studies and obtained her Ph.D. in the neuroscience field.
Application Specialist, Miltenyi Biotec
Christine Ahlert joined Miltenyi Biotec as Application Specialist in 2019. She finished her master's program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, Germany, where she also received her bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics.
