Clone REA1041 recognizes the melanoma-associated chondroitin sulfate proteoglycan (MCSP) antigen, also known as high molecular weight melanoma-associated antigen. MCSP is expressed on the majority (>90%) of human melanoma tissues and melanoma cell lines but not on carcinoma cells, fibroblastoid cells, and cells of hematopoietic origin.
Additional information: Clone REA1041 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
