Clone REA565 recognizes the Dnmt3b antigen, which is a DNA methyltransferase, that performs
de novo
DNA methylation during embryonic development. It may function as transcriptional co-repressor by associating with CBX4 and independently of DNA methylation and may play a role in controlling the differentiation of human ES cells and in the generation of iPS cells. Dnmt3 is expressed ubiquitously, at higher levels expressed in mouse and human embryonic stem (ES), in fetal liver, heart, kidney, and placenta.
Additional information: Clone RE565 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
