Find the fittest: how to improve the selection of sperm cells for the IVF process

It is well understood that it takes a sperm cell and oocyte of good quality to produce a healthy embryo during IVF. While in the past a lot of techniques were developed to optimize oocyte maturation and culture, reliable sperm cell selection is still an unmet need in IVF labs.

In this webinar we will therefore focus on a unique and most innovative technique to select the “fittest” sperm cells. We will also present evidence on how this improved sperm cell selection process increases clinical pregnancy rates, and address how it is combined with existing standard methods for sperm preparation, which allows for maximum flexibility and a patient-oriented approach.

In particular, you will:

  • Learn about the biological mechanisms which are targets for sperm cell selection
  • Understand how improved IVF pregnancy rates are achieved through selection of non-apoptotic sperm cells
  • Be able to confidently improve the quality of sperm preparations and thus offer a reliable solution for the male-factor in the IVF equation
