Clone AF29-4D12 recognizes the CD337 (NKp30) antigen, a 30 kDa type I membrane glycoprotein characterized by a single V-type Ig-like domain in the extracellular portion. It is found almost exclusively on the surface of resting or activated natural killer (NK) cells. CD337 (NKp30) is a member of the natural cytotoxicity receptors (NCRs) that also include CD335 (NKp46) and CD336 (NKp44), which are responsible for NK cell activation in the process of natural cytotoxicity.
Lytic activity of NK cells could be inhibited to varying degrees by using CD337 (NKp30) antibodies in
in vitro
cytolytic assays, and to a greater degree in combination with CD335 (NKp46) and CD336 (NKp44) antibodies.


The CD337 (NKp30) functional grade antibody is suited for functional assays, for example,
in vitro
NK cell activation.
