Specifications for Human DLL1

Overview

DLL1 stands for delta-like protein 1. Human DLL1 is a recombinant protein optimized for use in cell culture, differentiation studies, and functional assays.

Applications

Human DLL1 can be used for a variety of applications including:
  • Expansion of hematopoietic progenitor cells.
  • Differentiation into T cells and NK cell precursors.
  • Dysregulation of Notch signaling in cancers.

Detailed product information

Background information

Delta-like protein 1 (DLL1) is a human homolog of the notch delta ligand and is a member of the delta/serrate/jagged family. It activates notch receptors and plays a major role in cell-to-cell communication and differentiation in many tissues. DLL1 mediates cell fate decisions during hematopoiesis and differentiation into T cells and NK cell precursors. Notch signaling also plays a role in neuronal function and development, cardiovascular formation and morphogenesis, and endocrine development. Notch signaling is dysregulated in many cancers.

Biological activity

  • Suppression of THP-1 cells

Quality description

Research-grade
cytokines are suitable for a wide variety of cell culture applications. They are sterile-filtered prior to lyophilization. Generally, endotoxin levels are <0.1 ng/μg (<1 EU/μg), and purities are >95%. The biological activity is tested in appropriate bioassays.
