MACS® Technology enables fast, efficient, and highly reproducible enrichment of all three major cardiac cell types of the neonatal heart as well as fibroblasts and endothelial cells from adult cardiac tissue. Simply incubate the single cell suspension from the dissociated hearts with the specific MACS MicroBead, pass the labeled cells through a magnetic field of a MACS Separator, and elute your cell type of interest.

- MACS MicroBeads – superparamagnetic particles conjugated to a highly specific, monoclonal antibody against a cell surface antigen

- MACS Separators – for manual or automated solutions - contain powerful permanent magnets that induce a high-gradient magnetic field within MACS Columns – a field strong enough to retain cells labeled with even small amounts of MACS MicroBeads
