Neonatal heart 

Using pure cardiac cell types as starting material enhances the quality and outcome of various applications. Often, however, the dissociation of neonatal heart is a laborious, hard-to-standardize procedure. Miltenyi Biotec has developed a complete workflow solution for walkaway dissociation of neonatal hearts in 1 hour, enabling subsequent immunomagnetic isolation of cardiomyocytes, cardiac fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and cardiac progenitor cells.

The Neonatal Heart Dissociation Kit has been optimized for the isolation of viable beating cardiomyocytes but also allows for the isolation of all cardiac cell types, including cardiac fibroblasts, cardiac progenitors, and endothelial cells.

The uniquely designed gentleMACS™ C Tube contains built-in rotors for sample dissociation in a closed system. The gentleMACS C Tube enables fast and efficient tissue dissociation for viable single-cell suspensions.
The gentleMACS™ Dissociator Family enables gentle and convenient tissue dissociation. Utilize the standardized preset or customized programs, optimized protocols, single-use tubes, plug-and-play functionality, multi-sample processing, and on-instrument enzymatic incubation.
Label the cells with specific MACS® MicroBead cocktails to isolate your desired cardiac cell type. MACS MircoBeads are superparamagnetic particles conjugated to highly specific monoclonal antibodies, which can be used for fast and efficient cardiac cell separation. The MACS MicroBead-labeled cells are applied to a MACS Column placed in a MACS Separator. Unlabeled cells pass through while the magnetically labeled cells are retained within the column. Once the column is removed from the separator, the magnetically labeled cells are eluted from the column. Thus, both labeled and unlabeled cells can easily be isolated with high purity and recovery.
For highest convenience, choose the autoMACS® Pro Separator for your cell separation. The fully automated, standardized cell separation procedure on the autoMACS Pro Separator delivers highly reproducible, user-independent results.
