The 6C3 monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse Anti-BP-1 (Ly-51), a 140 kDa transmembrane protein. It is expressed on thymic dendritic cells, cortical epithelial cells, and pre B cells and can be upregulated in the presence of IL-7. It has been identified to be an enzyme with aminopeptidase A (APA) activity, so a wide variety of mouse tissue cells which possess APA activity express BP-1 (Ly-51).
Bone marrow cells from C57BL/6 mouse were stained with Anti-BP-1 (Ly-51) antibodies as well as with CD45R (B220)-VioBlue and analyzed by flow cytometry using the MACSQuant® Analyzer. Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and propidium iodide fluorescence.
